Medical Management of Excessive Drinking
Our team of physicians employ one of several medications, all approved by the FDA, that have been proven to help many ‘heavy drinkers’ regain control of their compulsion. The medication that is used to manage excessive drinking is called Naltrexone. The purpose of naltrexone is to block the reward pathway, and over a period of several months it becomes extinguished. This process is called the Sinclair Method.
